OpenFeint in our iPhone games!

Yes, we have finally started (better late than never) integrating OpenFeint into our iPhone games, starting with Elevens (due to be submitted this week), followed by our other existing titles and of course any of our new titles.

There are many social gaming systems available for the iPhone now, too many to choose from to be honest, and they seem to all have the same functionality and integration headaches, so why did we decide to go with OpenFeint?

OpenFeint has very tight Unity integration (The game engine we use to develop our iPhone and Desktop games) and with the current release version of OF, the easiest xCode integration we have found. Both of these two things makes my life easier, which is always a good thing!

But ultimately the most compelling reason for choosing OF is that they have the biggest game and player user base by far and we are hoping that this in itself will help us spread the word about our awesome iPhone games.

Facebook Group revived!

We have finally revived our Facebook group page. It’s been gathering digital dust but I have personally shaken it off, wiped it down and hoovered and now it’s time to get everyone on FB to join the Sector3 Games Group and of course, become a fan of and play Elevens on Facebook!!

CD Desktop hits 500 User Levels!

Wow, the 500th user level was just added to the Circuit Defenders Desktop user level gallery.

User: zeroAbsolut just submitted his level called X MARK 01 and is available for play by anyone that owns Circuit Defenders Desktop!

So looking through the gallery, there is an interesting mix of complexity and simplicity, with a few levels that seem, well, not very well thought out, but that’s the whole point of allowing users to create and share their levels with other players. It’s up to them to decide what they will make and how much effort they will put in!

For those that didn’t already know, Circuit Defenders 2.2.2 is out and it has a super improved in-game user level gallery as well as the ability to rate levels you have downloaded and played, so that others can see what you think about the level.
